12.1.08
Damn, it's been a while. I need'a get this site up with the times by turning this into a real-live blog, rather than manually editing HTmL every time I update. Unfortunately, I don't know a goddamn thing about that. I'd also like to get basic contact links up in the top. Clean this shitt up. Anyway, Toys is on this podcast called The Even James Has a Podcast, podcast. Chekk it.

9.28.08
We've been getting some write-ups lately. Chekk 'em!!

O'reilly Radar: I am Trying to Believe (that Rock Stars aren't Dead)

The Nine Inch Nails concert kicked asss. I got all kinds of fucked up in the mosh pit. Totally jacked my hip, all kinds of good shit. Poor Chris got his front tooth chipped. Anyway, to simplify things until I get the site revamped, here's the linque to the Myspace.

7.31.08
Slowly but surely, I'm gettin' this website all fixxed and updated. I added a live MP3 player on the audio page. I'm figuring out a way to get it everywhere on the site. A popup window? Its own frame? You pro'lly noticed the mailing list jernt on the splash page. Sign up, asswipe! This ReverbNation thing's kicking ass. It really does a lot more than most of those jokes out there. Jesus sandaldick Christ, I sound like a schill. Oh, and the blog. That's coming up. I'm tryin'a get a blog up on this beast, so you all can leave comments and talk shit.

7.11.08
On the 4th of July, I saw somebody very special whom I had not seen in a very long time. That makes me happy. Oh, and my friend got pissed off about me advocating psilocybin mushrooms on his website, so I'll do it on my own:

After the first ice age, when our simian ancestors wandered the then-new great plains of central Africa, they ate any food source they could find, including mushrooms growing in poop. These mushrooms, of course, were the psilocybins. We as the pre-humans, or whatever the hell they're called, took an evolutionary leap forward. Mushrooms speed up evolution. If we want to get of this so-called "age of terrorism," and get over this fucking religion hump, we need to eat more psilocybin mushrooms. Maybe then we can realize that religion is irrelevant, we're all part of an inseparable whole, and you cannot hurt one part without hurting the whole. We are indeed one consciousness presently focused on the outermost layer of reality. Peel the onion, and your world will improve forever.

6.30.08
Jeezus, it's been a while. Chris left the band, because his ears have been ringing non-stop. Poor guy. Be careful with your ears, folks. Wear those ear plugs. Having said that, the search for a new bass player is on. Do you have tons of stage presence? Do you play your bass with a pick? I'm looking for somebody who plays simple, catchy bass lines and knows how to rock outt! You gotta be in the Philadelphia area with reliable transportation to Philadelphia proper. Your own bass and amp are obviously essential, too. In other Gotham City news, I've been posting some guitar-and-voice videos on YouTube. Check outt the channel! Lastly, there are some new songs up on the Myspace. All three include Ian on the drums.Check those outt, too!

4.15.08
Just checkin' in to let everybody know we've been practicing our asses off and recording for the new album. This website's a pain in the ass to update, and I prefer to be at band practice, anyway. By the way, do you like the new background?

1.4.08
Purchase MP3's now on ZooMoozik! Support a shitty band.

12.23.07
Check us out on the Paine's Park website! While you're there, take a look around, and see what you can do to help make Paine.

12.13.07
Rad! Rad! I got my guitar back! It took a while, but it's fixed. It also sounds way better than it has in a long time! Thanks a million to James Guitars for patching it up.

12.1.07
Band photos are up! Check the photo section. Much thanks to Sarah Kiesel for shooting such amazing pictures!

11.20.07
The Fennario show was small but lots of fun. Much thanks to Anthony Mariano for booking the show, and thanks to everybody who showed their support.

Our friend Laura, daughter of the legendary Loudini, made this graphic for us. Thanks, Laura!

11.12.07
The show at the Fig went really well. Thanks to Ellie for booking it. I don't know your last name. Apologies for that. Thanks to Mesina for the good draw, and thanks to the Rooftops and Preston Swift for rškking our asses off! Everybody played well. This was our first show as a full-band.

The place didn't have a PA. We didn't know this until we got there. So a huge up goes to DJ Nanotec for bringing his PA at the last minute and saving the night. And check this out! I was high went we got to the practice spot, and I forgot to load in my guitar! So thanks a million to Luke of Preston Swift. He let me use his telecaster, and our set was saved as well.

Oh, we got the photos back, and they look siiiiiick! I'm really impressed with the way they came out. Digital cameras really have caught up to the quality of real analog film. The photos will be up soon for everybody to see.

11.2.07
The photo shoot was fun. Lots of fun! We'll have 'em up real soon; I promise! Our next show is in Jenkintown, PA, at the Fig Café. It's on 11.11, so it should be good luck. Also coming up is a show at Fennario in West Chester on 11.16, a benefit for Mad Mike the Confessor, at the Tritone, in Philly on 12.8, and shows at Mojo 13 and the Fire yet to be dated.

10.13.07
We'll be doing a photo shoot as a band in the very near future, so look for a plethora of new photos soon!

10.11.07
Jesus lip-flappin' Christ! It's been a while since the last update! Alright, I've been promoting the band heavily on the Myspaz lately, which is apparently generating lots traffic to the website. Who would'a thunk? Thank you all. Anyway, I have a big announcement to make. You might have noticed a few sentences back that I used the world band. Yes, band! We now have a drummer! Ladies and genitals, would you please welcome Ian Kiesel! We've been practicing in his basement in South Philly, and shit's going great! Our first show as a full band will be on 11.11 at the Fig CafŽ in Jenkintown, PA. It's all-ages, and flyers will be up soon.

On a side note, I'm trying to get a streaming MP3 player on the site. I have the player, and it works. I'm just trying to turn this setup into frames of some sort, so the song will continue to play when you open a new page. I don't know much about this web shit, so if you want to be a dove and shoot me an email, that would be great. jorge [att] eatmycube {dott} com.

8.26.07
I'll let this video speak for itself.

8.6.07
Ahh, I forgot to pay my damn hosting bill, so the site and email were down for a day. I've been skating this permission pool lately. Here's some video of the pool the night I popped its cherry, before I got permission to skate.

6.27.07
We played a paying gig at Mojo 13 in Wilmington, DE instead of the open mic at Steel City in Phoenixville, PA. That went really well. We had a great reaction. The day after, I played a solo show in Jersey at the Dance for Peace party. That went amazingly well, too. You can see clips from the show here. Thanks to Charles at 10 PM Entertainment for hooking this up and for taping it, too.

Also, we'll be playing at the Khyber in Philly on August 28, for a Paine's Park benefit. Other bands include McRad, the Smiles Project, Buy Star Bombs, and SICU. More info will be announced as the situation unfolds.

6.12.07
I or we will be playing at America's Bar and Grill in Chester Springs on Wednesday the 13th at 9 PM, Steel City Coffee House on Thursday the 14th at 8 PM, and a show to raise money for wounded soldiers on Friday the 15th at 10 PM. The benefit show is at Memories Lounge in Richland, NJ, right on Route 40.

6.7.07
One of my birds died today. She's a sun conure, and she's ten years old. We have her in a box, at home. It hurts so much, yet I feel completely fucking numb. I'll love her forever.

5.26.07
Rippin' motherfucker Neil Heddings has been locked up in prison for the past three and a half years. Congratulations to Neil for getting out of jail alive!

5.15.07
Jerry Fartwell is dead. Let's get high and celebrate!

5.11.07
On May 18th, "Warrior from the Slums" will be featured as GarageBand's Track of the Day, under the "experimental" category. Thanks to everybody who gave it a good review -- thanks to those who gave it bad reviews, too!

4.28.07
I'd like to thank the Gorillaz for giving the world such great music.

4.26.07
The new Nine Inch Nails album Year Zero is siiiiick! I guess the United States Department of Morality is after my ass now. The 4.20 party was kinda fun, but not as much fun as skating all day and some of the night before hand. I skated this concrete bank under some bridge. I had driven by it so many times, but I always had to be somewhere. When I found a place to park, I realized I was only a block away from the bank. The sidewalk in front of it is covered with gravel an' shit, and there's a little dip in the sidewalk at the bottom -- the vertex. You really have to float on your way down, or else you're gonna eat shit. That fucker will take you out if you're not on point.

4.17.07
We've been practicing as a threesome, and things are coming along well. I'm psyched at the direction we're going. Our bass player K1ll Chr1s will be spinning at a 4.20 party this Friday. Here's a flyer:

I also got my guitar and amp back from the shop. Much thanks go to Jim Houghton at James Guitars for fixing my shit.

4.2.07
    April Fool's!

4.1.07
I've given this a lot of thought, and I've decided to hand my life over to the One and only Lord and personal Savior, Jesus H. Christ. Cubehead is now a Christian band.

3.29.07
Thanks to everybody who came to the show! My guitar wasn't working for "some" reason, so I just sang. It was fun!

3.9.07
I have a show coming up on the 27th at the Fire in Philly. That's on Girard Ave, between 3rd and 4th streets, in the Northern Liberties neighborhood. Here's the flyer again:

And here's a link to the Fire's website. [click click]

2.19.07
Time for an update. Holy fuckin' piss! The show on the 9th at Mojo 13 went very well. Thanks to everybody who made it a success, and thanks to Ian at Milltown Booking for making it happen. Thanks to the inspiration from the new Lismore EP, I've been remixing and cleaning up these songs. They finally sound the way I want them to! I'm trying to get a Flash MP3 player on the site for convenience's sake. Stay tuned!

1.4.07
It's been a rough six months, but I got all my songs, all my programs, and everything else back. The best part is that I didn't even have to send my hard drive to a lab. Thanks for the support, everybody! You know who you are. And happy new year! This is a great start for 2007.

12.25.06
James Brown lives forever, and here's to wishing Pat Duffy to get better as fast as he can, that poor bastard.

12.15.06
Saturday night -- a fundraising party for the Baltimore Skatepark. Let there B-More concrete! Thanks to Doc Murdock for putting this together.

11.24.06
Today marks the 43rd anniversary of the horrific murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. Why am I so sympathetic towards the person who is said to have shot Kennedy, the only good president we've had in a long time? Because he didn't do it. Everybody needs to watch this video.

11.6.06
I'm wrecked. New section at FDR beat the shit out of me. Thanks to everybody for getting together and really making shit happen. And thanks to a certain organization or skaters from a certain somewhere who surfaced this monster. You know who you are. I don't have any photos, but Adam Wallacavage took some killer shots. I'm sure he'll have even more up soon. Check 'em outt.

10.19.06
Yea, Skinny kills it as always! Check out this snappy ollie. And thanks to Haveboard for the linque.

10.12.06
Hot shit! I got picked to be on the 2007 Tin Records New Music Series compilation.

10.1.06
The clip is fixed! Eye heart skateboarding.

9.26.06
Heh. Apparently that video clip below only works on my computer. Sorry 'bout that. I'm trying to fix it, but my Quicktime's jacked. I'm working on fixing it! In the mean time, peep these flyers for upcoming shows, two nights in a row! Oh, and thanks for the plug, Nugget!

9.16.06
What's this? Skate footage of me? That never happens!

9.10.06
    Happy birthday, Nori. Plug.

9.06.06
It's quick notice, I know, but I'm playing at Duffer's in Glen Mills, PA tomorrow night. Show starts at 10. Check the Exhibition page for details.

9.04.06
    R.I.P. Crockodile Hunter.

9.03.06
Holy fuck, Batman! As you can see in the splash page, my hard drive died. I'm selling poisionous, high-fat, high-calorie, artificially flavoured and preserved coffee with a bunch of stuck-up fellow employees, so I can save money for getting this thing salvaged. Much thanks to the generous folks who have donated. Since you last heard from me, I've been getting my computer sitch-e-ated to do all this fun web stuff. Mac OS X runs better now for some reason, but QuickTime movies won't play any audio!

Last month my mom and I went down to Texas to see my brother and his new baby boy. I guess I didn't realize it when I lived there, but Texas is one superstitious place! They had a goddamn church in the airport! I took pictures, because I knew nobody would believe me.

7.25.06
Surprise, everybody! The new website's here, and I never even made an annoucnement about the flippin' thing! Thanks to Er0k for the help with the menubar.

07.11.06
    Live forever Syd Barrett.

06.22.06
Happy belated Go Skateboarding Day! I didn't post this yesterday, 'cause I was skating all fucking day! I'll be at the Millennium Music Conference tomorrow. Christ, I still feel so weird without my dreads.

06.16.06
Remember my theory about the McMansion crash? This makes me so happy!

06.12.06
Saturday's show at Cloud 9 was a blast! I even got paid! When does that happen? The Why Kay Kays put on the best set I've seen... probably ever! Thanks to everyone who came.

06.06.06
Happy 06.06.06 everybody! Oh, and uh, I shaved my head.

05.17.06
Hot shit, I'm listed for the bands playing at this year's Skatopia Bowl Bash! Also, I met with Chris Kline today and tweaked the artwork for Abstraktion. I really like what he's done, as it broadens my aesthetic horizon.

05.05.06
Tickets for the upcoming Tool show sold out in what, eight minutes? Ticket brokes are selling them for $280! I missed them in 2003, and I'll miss them again this time around. Look, if you're a ticket broker, do me a favour: Kill yourself.

04.27.06
Online ordering is finally here!! See for yourself! Thanks to Nassaw Tate for hooking me up with a PayPal account.

I usually don't post videos and such, but in my opinion, this is the best mini ramp footage I've ever seen! Check out the Almost trailer. Thanks to the Sux for that one

04.25.06
Eat my cube! That's the new address for my page on the Myspace.

04.20.06
Tech dawg? Me? Fuckin' right! While skating a curb today, I pulled this out of my ass: 180 nose pivot to fakie 5, blindside 180 out. The best part of all is that I did it on my big-ass pool board. Happy 4/20, everybody!

04.06.06

04.02.06
I'm so full of shit! :) April Fool's!

04.01.06
Oh fuck! This is not cool at all.... I was at FDR yesterday, my second day back since the Winter--I fell from the Bunker wall and broke both of my kneecaps! This sucks.

03.20.06
    All-ages show this weekend!

03.15.06
Ah, man! My Numark Axis 9 is on the fritz! The CD tray won't open or close. I gotta get this fucker fixed. This actually happened earlier in the day, before I went to the Pontiac, but they were cool enough to supply me with a CD player for the night. Looks like I'll have to ghetto-rig my setup until I get this fukker fixed.

03.14.06
I just got back from a killer indoor session. Thanks go to Chad, Seth, and Seth's parents. Anyway, the Pontiac show was lots of fun! Thanks to everyone who came.

03.01.06
Boo-yah! I learned manual-to-body-varials today! I also got three backside rock and rolls in a row. For some reason, I've always had trouble with rock and rolls. I guess I'm now understanding it's all about turning with your arms, not your legs. Spring's coming!

02.24.06
I have new gear! I have this Roland KC-500 keyboard amp for full-on assault with my turntable! When this thing kicks ass, ass doesn't kick back! On that note, I have a couple shows coming up.

02.07.06
Now I'd like everybody to vote for me on RadioIndy!

01.24.06
Be sure to vote for me on Hellwire!

01.22.06
A Hope and Theory     According to BusinessRecord.com, three-fifths of all households in the United States has credit card debt, with an average of $9k per household. That's a lot of fucking debt! People are buying things they can't afford. Look how many of these McMansions and Hummers you see each day! Who can afford this? Certainly a lot fewer people than are actually buying these things. The housing market's going to crash! People will have to move back into the city. The McMansions will lie abandoned and eventually bulldozed. In their place, grass will grow. The grass will turn into meadows; the meadows will become shrubs; the shrubs will become trees. Plants and wildlife will once again prevail.

01.18.06
OK, the MP3's are back up, not because I bought more bandwidth (still need to), but because I'm in a new billing period for my server. I also fucked up the MP3 page when I was restoring everything. Descriptions will be back eventually. Bear with me on this. In the mean time, email me and tell me to get to work!

jorge |-at-| jorgemusic |-dott-| com

Oh, I also uploaded two new songs! Ninety Three the Hedgehog and Take a Little Blue. Give 'em a check!

01.17.06
Damn. Bandwidth is getting eaten like fast food at a Weightwatchers convention! I guess this is a good problem to have. Anyway, I should have more bandwidth soon, but until then I have to disable the MP3 page. Give it a couple days.

01.01.06
Your New Year's resolution is to come to my show.

12.30.05
Next show: Rex's Bar in West Chester, PA. Saturday, January 7th at 9.00. 344 West Gay St. $5 cover. 21+

12.23.05
I have a serious urge to skate some stairs or ledges. Anybody want to show me a good spot? I don't do crap-ass skateparks. They're no fun.
Show some support! Vote for me on Hellwire!

12.17.05
I submitted a CD for review to Origivation magazine. They're a mag out of Philly, dedicated to original m˝sikk. R–kk.

I'll be selling advance tickets for the benefit. I think they'll be $8. Christ, could you imagine if some asshole had a tattoo of a dollar sign?      Happy birthday, John Lennon! Somebody in a dream last night said to me, "You're having trouble with Abstraktion, aren't you?" It's not that I'm having trouble, I just keep finding things that need to be tweaked. In the end, it's worth the extra time I'm taking rather than rushing it. I'm sure some day I'll record an album in two days, and that will be cool in its own way, but this EP is taking some time.
I got booked at Fennario's in West Chester last night. I talked to the booking agent, and based on me saying I play "industrial punk," he booked me on the spot! No date yet, but it will probably be in November.
